High School Football Sectionals on 1420 WACK

The Newark Reds won their first sectional football game in fifteen years with a hard fought win over the Midlakes Screaming Eagles last Friday night.  Newark advances to the sectional semifinals this Friday with a game against Hornell. 

The Newark Reds game with play-by-play announcers Tim Casselman and Harry Gibbs at 5:30pm will be followed by the Genava Panthers semifinal game against Livonia at 8pm

While it's an ever changing schedule depending on who advances, it is no secret, it's time for High School Football Sectional play! We have two games this week!

• Friday, October 23 - Newark (4-3) @ Midlakes (6-1) - 7:00pm
• Saturday, October 24 - Caledonia-Mumford (5-2) @ Clyde-Savannah (7-0) - 11:00am

It's been a great season of High School Football and now it's time for the play-off season! This Friday, October 23 catch play-by-play action as Newark travels to Midlakes!

As high school activities turn to graduation and summer vacation, the high school sports line up of programming also goes on vacation. We'd like to say thanks to all our faithful listeners who tuned in throughout the high school sports season via the Internet. But, just because the high school sports season is on vacation, that does not mean we've stopped streaming.

First off, from all of us here at WACK, we'd like to say congrats to the Newark Reds Girls Basketball Team. It was a great season and congrats on winning the State Championship! Great work!
