Wayne Boys Head Into Post-season Play

This week, the Wayne Blue Devil boys squad will try to keep its season alive in the C1-4 sub-district tournament at Oakland-Craig.  Wayne will have to get past the school that ended Wayne's girls' season, Tekamah-Herman if they want to keep playing hoops this year.  We'll have that match for you on Country 1590, with the tip off set for 8:00pm Tuesday.

Friday & Saturday Wayne Home Hoops

Friday night, Dec. 12th, the Wayne girls open their home season as they bring in Schuyler for a tussle on the hardwood.  The game tips off at eight.  Then, on Saturday, it's time for the boys to play their 1st at home, when Columbus Lakeview heads to Wayne, America.  That game will get under way at seven.  Both games will be broadcast on KTCH.com and Country 1590.

Wayne at O'Neill Football

This Friday 10/17, the Wayne Blue Devil football team hits the road to O'Neill.  We will have that game for you on Country 1590 and on the AM stream here at Network1sports.  However, it WILL be pre-empted if there is Wayne HS softball going on in Hastings still.  We definitely will give you updates on the football game, if that is what happens.  Thanks for listening to Country 1590, Super Hits Y104, and KTCH.com!

STATE SOFTBALL TOURNEY!

Yes, we will be covering Wayne High School at the Class C State Softball Tournament in Hastings.  The first game for Wayne is against Bennington at 10am on Thursday, 10/16.  Win or lose, the Blue Devils will play again at 12:30pm.  If the girls win both games, they're done for the day and play Friday at noon.  If they lose both games, they're done for the tourney.  If they split (win 1, lose 1), then they'll play Thursday night at 7:30 as well.  The first two games Thursday will be on Country 1590 AM along with the AM stream on Network1sports.  If they play a nightcap, that game will be on Super Hits Y104 and on the FM stream.  Friday action will be entirely on Super Hits Y104, except possibly for the Championship round that starts at 5pm and possibly goes on for a 7:30ish start.  Stay tuned this week to hear the details, as your Wayne Blue Devils try to complete some "unfinished business" in Hastings.

Next broadcast

Broadcast Tonight

In case you didn't notice, tonight is the first online broadcast of Wayne HS Softball this season.  Game time is around 6:00 pm.  It should be a good one with two teams that are both ranked #1 in the preseason - one ranked on top by the Omaha World-Herald, and the other by the Lincoln Journal Star.  That game is tonight at 6:00 pm from the softball complex in Wayne as they battle Twin River.
